i hope i don't get a dunce cap for responding on a 1 week old post :P
as far as the design goes, I would love to see a footer graphic inserted, right now the site design just kinda feels incomplete. I would almost mimic the header graphic but have it mirrored, just umm, smaller, more footer size.
I would have to agree about the nav buttons as well, the user has to know where to click at all times.
you could even put in text links in the footer as well, that might help
and i would have to agree about the text needs more space away from the edges of the site. and i would also like to see a color theme going through the whole site. instead of using a white background try a tan or another coordinating color with your current theme, along with using titles ...they should use a color that you have in your color scheme.
I really like how soft it all feels, I think once it has content and a few minor changes, it can really be a great site. Keep it up! looking forward to seeing updates
