I did a project but only could make the ball bounce.. was bull**** so I want to learn flash. To make beautiful flashy moving things.. lol.. can someone recommend me a very easy to follow tut on flash or something?? thanks

Well Flashkit is one of the leading flash tutorial websites but in my opinion, Flashkit is for advanced flash user. They only use text for tutorial and no screenshot. I don't go to Flashkit due to that.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

To move things (motion tween) in Flash, try these sites.

Flash - Motion Tweening <--- clear screenshots

Motion tweening (basic) - Getting Started - FlashValue.net <--- screenshots

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. <---- video tutorials at Youtube

motion tween - Google Video <---- video tutorials at Google

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Flash tutorials usually I would go to:

Macromedia Flash Tutorials - Pixel2Life

Most tutorials have screenshots (for each step).

But another famous website is Kirupa:

kirupa.com - Flash and ActionScript Tutorials

This one with screenshots:

Getting Started Flash tutorials - FlashVault.net

This one has screenshots too:

WebThang Tutorials:

You can check video tutorials. I visit these websites once in a while. Easy to follow since they are using videos:

Tutvid

Free Video Tutorials :: Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and more! :: Tutvid.com - Tutorials

and

CBTcafe

CBT Cafe :: Flash Basic Tutorials

If anything just holler me mate. Good luck. Thumbs up.

funny... the bouncing ball seems to be the first thing anyone learns in Flash

I learned quite a bit from a guy named Justin at Cartoon Smart. Sign up for his newsletter and you get a nice big discount on all his new lessons that he posts. The lessons are very easy to follow... once you get comfortable with Flash... they may actually seem a little on the slow side... but he does a good job explaining how and why things work the way the do and videos are nice big mpeg's. He worked originally for ad agency I think and has a lot of animation experience which shows in his site and lessons.

Lynda.com isn't bad either but the lessons are not downloadable and its a monthly subscription service.

Steve's Tuts is a good free resource for lessons. Don't let the lack luster of his site fool you... he has some good content in the tutorials.

Flash Kit has some useful lessons as well, though I find the site visually a mess

well if you are looking to spend some money, I would check out the training videos over at digital tutors as well

they usually give you the working files they use in the lessons, and it's all videos, so you can watch while you follow along in it.

and it's a lot less reading :P
