Just as a totally-unrelated side note, has anyone else taken a look at Weebl's Stuff? That guy sure knows funny!

My friend told me programming in Flash is basically like C++. If you've taken a C++ class you'd probably have an easy time with it.
Actionscript really isn't that hard. There's already a library in Flash MX, if you can't find something you need there, Google is always at your service.

I'm not sure what its like, but I've heard its just really picky and not the funnest language to code in, not very forgiving.

Well basically, he said something like if you can code in C++, Flash will be no problem.
Then he mentioned it was related in a way. I'm not sure, I've never programmed in either of those.

I personally found Actionscript to be a bit like my pseudocode. Just write it down, add a little formatting, and see it work. It messes up tons like my pseudocode too...

Those sites own. I've seen them before.
I always forget the URLs though. I only bookmark a few.

c'mon guys... Flash is not that hard...
Just take a few beginner tutorials to get you going, put some time into... try Kirupa.com... he has a lot of great tutorials... and if you like it, then go to more and more advanced stuff...
THat's what I did and I'm loving it.

bleh, i dont like flash so much. Of course people make really awesome sites. I like it when people make a basic but interactive graphic with flash, like moving vectors when your cursor goes over a certain part of an image, now they rock!

You probably already know this, but Phong has alot of simple animated vectors. His site layout has always confused me though. I would like to find out how he does the fractal stuff in flash. Thats very amazing.
