Preview Help

I've downloaded the demo version of C4D R10, and I can't get the preview to work, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, if it's a disabled feature on the demo version or something like that, or if it's just me and I got shanked

I'm afraid I don't know anything about C4D, but as far as limitations of the demo version goes, this is what it says on the Maxon site FAQ:

The only restriction on the demo version is that it is save disabled. There are no time limitations.

I've read that, but I've found things like radocity which is disable in the demo version so I'm not sure if preview is disable. Is there anyone who has the demo version and they can get the preview feature to work? Or anybody with the same problem as me?

in C4D demos, from what i've seen up until now, radiosity, caustics, anti-aliasing and some minor stuff usually are limited, not unusable, but at a lower 'quality' or level, except for the save thing, just blocked =D. The preview you are talking about used to be referred as render view right? a quick render of the picture, before rendering the final artwork? because i've never heard of preview (or maybe just never used it and it passed by me completely...), surfed the net a bit and they always say only save disabled, and render resolution limited to 640x480... maybe setting it to that will work?

I believe you are trying to view the picture in "Render to Picture Viewer". That is disabeled on the demo.

You cannot save the images while on the demo, and rendering to the picture viewer is one of the ways to save the pictures.
