Rendering question

Hi.
I got C4D 8.5 and I noticed there are rendering settings I don't have access to. Specifically the "radiosity" and the "caustics" settings they are always grayed out.

I found a tutorial about stochastic rendering I'd like to try, and because of this problem, I can't. Any Idea why is this happening?

You sure you have the full retail release and not just the trial version?

they some times disable decent features on trial versions.

You need the Advanced Render module. If it's a trial version, then with 90% sure it doesn't have this module. If you got it illegally from some p2p, then you may be very, very unlucky. If you BOUGHT it then there is a 99% you didn't buy a bundle with the advanced render.

Screw me, go get Cebas' FinalRender Stage-2.
The best rendering module for C4D, even compared to Maxwell (ATM.)

yeah and maya is pricie to,
maya7 bundle with xtra render module = €3500
and than you must buy tuturials with it. because they are pricy to
it's best to use 3ds for that kind of things

Cinema 4D 9.5 has advanced enormously in the render field, although still not as good as MR.

Anyway...

Ambient Occlusion has nothing to do with Radiosity. In fact, one can say its almost the opposite of it, instead of calculating indirect light it calculates indirect shadow.

And SKY is quite possible the most worthless module ever released to Cinema 4D. Its worse than OZone plugin, which sucked already to begin with.
