another haloween night has come and gone.. this year i had ZERO trick or treaters. My wife and I used to really be into the spirit, put up lots of decorations and etc mid month. ever since we bought our house 4 years ago though, we have had nary a visitor on haloween. short of a blinking neon sign that says "free candy" i dont know what else to do.
I love decorating for the spookies but it just dosent seem worth the effort lately.

The las concert i was at, I took my son and his friend to see Reel Big Fish

my wife drug me to a used book store today to get a copy of "tales of a fourth grade nothing" for a family friends child.
my son asked if they had "metamorphosis" and the book lady had no idea who franz kafka was!
I walked away with a calvin and hobbes book and a bit of pride in that my family and i knew of and had read a great author that she had never heard of.
if there are any kafka fans out there: read "at the penial colony" its quite odd....

i had put up pictures of my fireplace in various stages of construction.
the other day i wanted to show it to a friend at work and they (the thumbnails) didnt link to anything.
if anyone is still intrested in seeing them lemme know and i will re-upload them.
(that may explain why there were no comments)

of course the paranoid in my pocket is trying to tell me that no one cares,
