file under work related ramblings and etcetra

ok so here i sit....alone upstairs in the office. waiting for someone to come back from lunch so i can qiut answering the phones and do MY job.
kinda nice though because the phones dont ring that much this time of day.
still means that i have less than 2 hours until my day is over and i still need to setup 2 molds and do some follow up with some of the other projects im working on.
also gotta find 2 other molds and get blueprints so i know how to set those up for later.

(setup: the molds that we use are made of silicone or fiberglass, they have a general shape say like a column shaft or fireplace hearth. the mold may be 10 feet long but the job calls for 6 foot pieces so i make a wooden dam to shorten the length or height or width of a mold. sometimes its really easy and simple. other times it can get complicated, imagine trying to cut a piece of wood in order to divide a jello mold into thirds.... maybe ill post a few little pics to more easily show what i mean. maybe not)

in other news...
it was my battery. toally toast.
luckly it was my dads truck that im borrowing that it happened to so im just driving GINGER (my suburban) until i can get another battery.
Ginger is fun to drive anyhow. she has airhorns, the same as on a tractor trailer, and lots of other goodies as well.
Loud ass stereo and quite a bit of intimidation factor.
besides i need to drive her a bit once in a while to keep everything working.
as soon as my dad finishes moving he will take his truck back and Ginger will be my daily runner again anyhow.


and still the phone dosent ring.....

well Im gonna close out now lest i begin stream of consciousness blogging.
