ok, so we had a nice storm blow thru nevada this weekend. sustained 40 mph winds led it in. but not before blowing off a chunk of my garage roof surfacing material. so there i was, up on it, in the wind, finding out the hard way that my roof had a weak spot. up to my waist in a new hole. ok. patch that QUICK with some plywood, cover it with some tarp. nail it all down in the wind.
thankfully, it didnt rain until the next day, and it hasnt leaked where i patched it. NOOOOO, it leaked somplace else. so there i was again monday, in the rain with that sticky, tar patch goo, patching that leak.
thankfully it is only the garage. so as long as I get on the full repair quickly, (and I do have a plan) it wont cause any real problems.
after that it was time to cut up a bunch of firewood and cover all the dry wood with another tarp so that if the rain continued, I would have enough dry wood to last until the sun dried up the rained on wood in a day or two.
it didnt rain that much because most of it fell as snow before it got to my area. that made for a cold ride in this morning. 41 degrees when i left
oh, yeah, I got my motorcycle endorsement so now I can ride to work.
(sing to "i wanna be sedated" by the ramones)
i cant feel my fingers,
i cannot feel my nose,
hurry hurry hurry,
before it starts to snow
oh noo no no, ooh ohh!
brrrr, brrrr, brrr brrr
brrr brrrr, brrrr, brrr brrr
its too cold for riding.

damn... sounds similar to the wind storm we had a couple months ago. How do you spread that tar stuff when its so cold? Very carefully? lol
You are definitely more daring than I when it comes to riding... as soon as it hits below 45... I take 4 wheels. I know a lot of guys buy the heated gear and ride all year unless snow is on the ground. I hate frozen condensation on inside of my visor though
