job from heck

Posted 08-07-2008 at 09:50 PM by supertackyman
reached the halfway point (or thereabouts) yesterday. the job seems a bunch less daunting now that i have a nice binder full of drawings and little index tabs and the like. now I can focus on the nitty gritty of redrawing all the ones that we don't have. which quite honestly will go fairly quickly compared to looking for them. (or at least feel like it)

all the molds have been traced and photographed, so there wont be any surprises later when I'm feeling almost done and somebody walks in with a big new stack.

I'm glad the Job-from-Hell has been downgraded to the Job-from-Heck. Looks like you'll be done in no-time.

the next big thing is re-numbering all the file/ drawing numbers to be similar.
    i.e.: t1001, t1002, etc for trim pieces
    instead of random numbers.
some of that is allready done, column caps and bases for example are like tc12 for a 12 inch tuscan cap, and dc08 for an 8 inch doric base.
since its the first time that all our molds are being tallied, its kinda up to me as to how i want to do it.
