a day of sadness

went to 1/2 days at work. no big deal because its for a short time.
thankfully I came home early today.
Garcie, my iguana was in bad times.
when i picked her up she seemed weak, un coordinated, and disoriented.
she couldnt hold herself upright, and seemed to be
behaving post stroke like. it just got worse.
within 3 hours she was gone.
I think she had a stroke.

I wont go into details, but I'm glad I was there with her.

it's strange. my first and second iguanas lived for years, and got big, and healthy, well trained, etc.
since then i have had two that didnt make it very long at all.
but seemed just as healthy.
I think that the next time, I will go through a different pet store. maybe its just me, but the pets available at the "chain stores" (petsmart, petco) are just substandard.
I had a cat that came from one of the two, and he was loco from day one.
I am really hoping to adopt an Ig. form someone that can no longer keep thiers. if not I am really gonna shop around until I find the right one.

	Your not alone in your "chain stores" opinion. Poke around on CraigsList, maybe it's just Nashville, but I've seen Iguanas and other interesting creatures available there.
