Web colours were the standardwhen we had (either) 8bit or 16 bit monitors. Now we have better ones, but with that we get the same problem as people had back then. What colours can we use that display the same on every monitor?

Web safe colours consist of like 200 colours, but only 10% of that is truly safe today. And a large portion of those colours are found in the default ms paint pallet..

So why bother with it if it doesn't work anymore..

I just stopped...

css

Posted 11-03-2008 at 03:37 PM by sami1337

Yeah..css. Itīs haunting me! Every time i change something my page blows up.

Me thinks i have to be more careful with setting margins. Setting one things margins may effect the others. Which is also the conclusion of a full workdays work getting my page centered.

I read some other dudes blog about him being leet with css, and that he used to use a sheet to set the full document to margin:0px 0px 0px 0px. I don't see how that's useful now as you'll want to...

Been trying to get my page to meet the WAI, validating etc etc. I also explored the possibility of having a text resize thingy.

That, but i also checked what my page looks like when i zoom with firefox. But i forgot one little detail. I did not reset the zoom level.

I ended up pondering why one page looked different from the other while it has almost the same code. I probably spent about an hour...

return false; / validated

Posted 10-30-2008 at 11:27 AM by sami1337

A while ago U'ziel said in my thread that i should (could) use a return false; for my expanding menu. I asked what it does, and he explained it, kinda. So i put it in a portion of my menu and didn't find out it's use. Nothing significant happened. But i never removed it.

So, while testing it in internet explorer i found that it deals with the buttons as links (duh they are hrefs), but firefox does not. But i just found out that one of my sub menu's expanded just as i wanted it to!...

Well, not really, but i finally found out how to fix my javascript menu so it remains usable and fancy. I had difficulties making it stay open when you go to that particular page.

I jumped up when it refreshed and worked.
