Well after 2 1/2 long months of twiddling my thumbs, spending a lot of time with my kids, doing work around the house and fumbling around trying to find freelance work I officially am back to work!

Today I received and accepted an offer that will allow me to continue to pretend to be a graphic designer while working in the hockey industry. My new job will allow me to work out of the house and perhaps is finally a chance to realize my dream of building the ultimate destination hockey...

A friend of mine brought over his suburban on sunday and gave it to me.
It dosent run but, I have and will be using it for spare parts until I either use it all up or it becomes eyesoreish.

my project for this week is to take the interior out of it and transplant it into mine. mine has a nice exterior but a rather ratty getting brown interior with bench seats that are wearing thru.

ok so today I upgraded my work pc to xp from 2000
the install didnt take.
I reinstalled and now its a dual boot. one that works and cant find the network, printer, plotter, or web.
and one that wont boot. all my programs are on the boot folder that wont boot. theyre there but wont run because the dlls wont load.
no data was lost but i gotta manually config all the connections because our network is ooold and has static ip addys. and no one knows the passwords for admin....

It's been ten years since my last eye test. My husband decided after watching me hold small print at arms length (embarrassing at a restaurant) that it was time to go again. Today I'm wearing my new glasses with no-line Bi-Focals. I feel so old. I can't see anything. That's not exactly true, I can see ... but if it's not directly in the center of the lens, it's blurry as hell! Assuming, of course, that hell is blurry. If you don't move your head, but try to look left or right it's all blur...

Today a really funny thing happend.

I knew that my dog is a bit crazy, and that his brains probably aren't any bigger than a peanut. But today he proved that even that was overestimated.

Today my dog chased the birds in the garden just like any other day. Running around, stopping, hoping they didn't see him (even though he is a 30kilo labrador he still believes he is stealthy). And than in a big cloud of dirt and twigs running towards them, to reach them just too...
