my wife drug me to a used book store today to get a copy of "tales of a fourth grade nothing" for a family friends child.
my son asked if they had "metamorphosis" and the book lady had no idea who franz kafka was!
I walked away with a calvin and hobbes book and a bit of pride in that my family and i knew of and had read a great author that she had never heard of.
if there are any kafka fans out there: read "at the penial colony" its quite odd....

just a question

Posted 10-05-2007 at 04:24 PM by supertackyman (supertackyman's BIOblog.)
i had put up pictures of my fireplace in various stages of construction.
the other day i wanted to show it to a friend at work and they (the thumbnails) didnt link to anything.
if anyone is still intrested in seeing them lemme know and i will re-upload them.
(that may explain why there were no comments)

of course the paranoid in my pocket is trying to tell me that no one cares,
I believe he is a liar.

nothing and i mean NOTHING remotely exciting...

Our room only had a border on it, but the one wall with the gas fireplace might as well have been carved into the sheet rock. That wall alone took me 6-8 hours to do and the section with a border was only...

Another spin around the sun

Posted 10-01-2007 at 03:17 PM by MoodsR4Cattle (Blather, Babble & Balderdash)
I've finished yet another spin around the sun and to celebrate the occasion my husband is going to get my X on the road again. It was supposed to be a surprise, but wouldntchaknow that the carburetor guy is going to be on vacation and won't be back until next week. Better late than never and I'm thrilled that I'll have my Zooooom back! He told me about the delayed surprise because he didn't want me to think that he forgot my birthday. What a sweetie.
I've been out dusting, sweeping,...
