Favorite Vintage Video Arcade Game

Vintage being the key word, implies that to answer this question you had to have blown a substantial amount of quarters (or tokens) on video arcade games in the early 80's.

I believe I mentioned in previous blog posts that back in the early 80's my older brother worked for Putt-Putt. This Putt-Putt had a huge room of arcade games and every evening he would empty each one and restock the "token" machine (it took your money and gave you special tokens to play the games...

The 4 hour dinner ...

I love food. Everything from the delicate to the robust. So I am very fortunate that my daughter's boyfriend loves to cook.

last Saturday, we were treated to a French style 11 course dinner, served with the slightly shaky hands of a chef trying a couple untested recipes. We ate outside under the stars.
The menu went as follows:

Gruyére Cheese Gougéres
Linguine with Clams
Salad of Haricots Verts and Tomato Tartare
Parisian Gnocchi...

It's been ten years since my last eye test. My husband decided after watching me hold small print at arms length (embarrassing at a restaurant) that it was time to go again. Today I'm wearing my new glasses with no-line Bi-Focals. I feel so old. I can't see anything. That's not exactly true, I can see ... but if it's not directly in the center of the lens, it's blurry as hell! Assuming, of course, that hell is blurry. If you don't move your head, but try to look left or right it's all blur...

I love my RX7 - I've posted about it many times.

An opportunity to get a 1983 Porsche 944 has come up - at a good price - and I wanted everyone's opinion.
I do know that they need regular maintenance (new timing belt and water pump at about every 45,000 miles) and they basically need a new clutch at about each 55,000. This is all well and good, but each item is very expensive, for example the clutch could reach $1500 - $2000 alone. The...

Robert Fripp has decided to do one more tour with King Crimson. This band will include the primo drummer, Gavin Harrison, from Porcupine Tree - as well as the insane talents of Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto and Adrian Belew. Awesome lineup.

I love King Crimson. Just thought I'd mention that.

They just finished rehearsing here in N'ville (Fripp stays at Belew's house which is just down the road. And yes, we watched the local Starbucks to see if we could catch Fripp...
