Not the usual Thanksgiving dinner

Posted 11-20-2007 at 01:24 AM by MoodsR4Cattle

Crab-stuffed mushrooms - early snack

Cilantro Carrot soup - appetizer
Caesar Salad -...

I've got my Zoooooooom back! The X was in the shop for 2 weeks! As it turns out I didn't need to replace the carb, and the main problem was this little thingie that pokes into another thingie to make it idol when you let off the gas. Not the kind of thing that would pop out on it's own, but had to have been pulled out - ?? There were a few other minor problems but WAY less than I expected. Now it purrrrrrrs! All it needs is a good paint job and that may be in the spring. The gas has been...

I wouldn't call myself a bird watcher, but I like to have a bird feeder and see how many different birds visit and try to identify them by their songs. There are two bird identification books and binoculars next to the window where the feeder hangs. I enjoy just sitting there observing the "pecking order", figuring out the times they feed the most, and in some cases recognizing and naming the outcasts. Baldy is an outcast sparrow, it's lost almost all the feathers from it's head (either...

Porcupine Tree Concert

Went to my first Porcupine Tree concert last Tuesday.

My daughter, her boyfriend and I went early to be first in line (general admission) and as we were walking to the building, Richard Barbieri (keyboards) was walking toward us and stopped, pointed to my daughter and said, "Hey, I recognize you". She's never been to a Porcupine Tree concert, but does have a website for Richard's former band "Japan". She was star-struck and slack jawed. When she finally snapped...
