X & Music

I've got my Zoooooooom back! The X was in the shop for 2 weeks! As it turns out I didn't need to replace the carb, and the main problem was this little thingie that pokes into another thingie to make it idol when you let off the gas. Not the kind of thing that would pop out on it's own, but had to have been pulled out - ?? There were a few other minor problems but WAY less than I expected. Now it purrrrrrrs! All it needs is a good paint job and that may be in the spring. The gas has been sitting in the tank since April so I'm driving it all over the place so I can replace the old gas and run a tank of good stuff through it - not a problem, I'm lovin' every minute. Zooooooooooom!

Shameless Plug:

Should anyone be interested in checking out SecondaryCell, my husbands music, please do so.
It's IDM (Intelligent Dance Music), electronica and you can hear some of the songs at:

Let me know what you think of it!

Addendum:

I drove the X 40 miles yesterday without a hitch ... oh, you know just where I'm going with this don't you.
This morning it started up with no problems but as soon as the choke popped in (yep, old cars have a manual choke) and I came to the first red light, the car just up and died. All the lights came on and the poor thing wouldn't start again (trust me, I tried and tried - I didn't flood it either). It made some really nasty grinding sounds as well.
So there I sat - 7:22 am - in the passing lane of a 4 lane (& middle turning lane) 2 car lengths from the stop light with hundreds of cell phone yacking, late for work speeders missing my butt by inches. My 4 ways were on, but the sun pretty much made them impossible to see - not to mention that it's a very low, small car and those behemoth SUV monsters can't see below their hood ornaments. I don't have a cell phone, so I had to make a call from the McDonalds which was right at that corner. My husband called the guy that had just fixed the car and he came with his tow truck and hauled the little beast back to the garage.
I am once again without my X. I was soooo happy yesterday.

Must be the gremlins.

Happy Halloween!
