King Crimson - 40th Anniversary Tour

Posted 08-05-2008 at 10:35 PM by MoodsR4Cattle
I was too late to get a ticket for the King Crimson shows here in Nashville this past weekend, but my daughter went to the Saturday show and stumbled across someone selling their Sunday tickets at face value (some went on ebay for over $200 each) so I got to go the second night!

Pat Mastelotto and Gavin Harrison, both phenomenal drummers, played 3 solos together and were unbelievable. They were the stars of the show. Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew and Tony (Papa Bear) Levin kicked some major ass as well. There was no new material as this is being billed as a 40th Anniversary tour, so they played Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Part 2, Thela Hun Ginjeet, Talking Drum, B'Booom, Elephant Talk, Red, One Time, ConstruKction of LIght, and a whole lot more.

Really REALLY REALLY great concert!
