Blender & Macs

I am VERY new using Blender and was following a tutorial. I found that some of the shortcut keys do not work and makes the work disappear when I try to change views. Like any other number than 1. Is this something I have to setup? or is it just not working properly with the system I have. I still have 10.4.10

If you want to render an image with Blender Creator on other platforms you would normaly press the F12 key. On some machines this ejects the CD from your CDROM ;-). To render the current image with Blender on Mac OS X press Ctrl-F12 or Alt-F12.

The Mac OS X version has different cursor shapes.

Sounds like a you're the only one without hotkeys.
I'd probably suggest a fresh install, or something along those lines.
I suppose you could set your own, if you've got the time.

Did you draw down the preferences area and within system and openGL - emulate numpad under the keyboard (click button). I have also disabled many of the hot corners, and f12 feature
