blender 3d release!

If this should be in the blender forums just move it for me (it's empty and scares me...)

So there's a new version of the free/open source 3d program called Blender 3d...

you can find the information on the new version at this link.

With every version release of this program, they make it that much more powerful and capable of handling most of the same things that the expensive programs like maya, 3ds max, etc can handle...but for free

anyways, you can download it here

Do you use Blender for the majority of your work?

I've seen some of your animations and wondered what you tools you used to create them..

Mike.

ironically no, I mostly use maya. I have used maya for 7yrs, so for me to make the switch for the sake of switching isn't really "efficient" but the more i read and look into blender, i'm starting to think, why not... it's cheaper and it's capabilities are increasingly getting better with every release. So a switch just might be in order.
