Biorust first 3d tutorial: maybe

Lets here some feed back from you people if i should make a 3d tutorial. It will probably be in realsoft but that is now issue since you can download the v4.5 copy and it will run for 60 days.

I have already made the subject for the tutorial. It took about 30 mins to make.

So would you lot like to see a 3d tut?

Here is the subject. Teh render is a bit crappy but hey.

I don't think a lot of people use RealSoft. >< Many people will use Cinema 4D or 3D Stuidios Max.

To make it short, I don't think it'll work out.

Its a nice idea, but the vast majority of people are more interested in 3D studio and/or Maya. If you do tutorials in those, I will be your love slave forever.

I'll consider a bit of a miscellaneous category though... I mean... we do have a larger demographic now...

Do a tutorial with whatever you're confortable with, what I'm looking for is a well written tutorial.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the big 3d apps seem to all do the same thing. It's really a matter of opinion on which one to use.

The reader can adapt your tutorial to whatever program he/she uses.

It would also be cool if you didn't write a step by step kind of tutorial, but rather a tutorial on the basic principals of 3d design.

Meh, but whatever you do, Im looking forward to it.

i think i may just do one for a free app since most people wontr be doing an illegal thing. It will probably involve blender and Povray, since this can do everything you want at the cost of a damn hideous layout.

A tut for blender would be awesome. It does have a hideous layout and crashes quite often, but it's free and open source so it'll be good for everyone.

and when you render your images with povray, you have a serious winning combo. May 3d artists create 5 star work down at cgtalk with just blender and povray.

Well i spent seven hours today drafting out two tutorials for blender. I hope to have them finished by tomorrow. I would also like a volunteer to test them out for me and give me back some feedback. the person who volunteers, lets just say htey shall be known as my god/goddess.

The first tutorial is on navigating the application. It is 4 pages long with screen grabs

The second is about making a basic pen, its about 20 pages long including images.
