Gallery idea

I was just thinking that it might be a good idea to make a Biorust award

not like in the battles system but a selection process by a jury. Like all the gallery submissions are looked over and 1 is selected. That 1 is the "entry of the week" and gets an Biorust prize. At the end of the year al #1 go into the "semi-final" and one of them is selected. This one is the #1 entry of the year.

These #1(both the weekly/ yearly) should get like a spot on the front page or something alike. This way we could make the posting more competitive...and I know you hate those words, but I think it is in the best interest of every member. I believe that if members post their artworks in the gallery at this moment, the only purpose is to store these artworks.

Some of the members do post to get comments and with that critics, but I believe that that is the minority of the members. And I think that when we make such a prize system more members will post their best, and make things to upload them here, or so I hope.

This can off course be just another bad idea

but tell me what you think of it. Maybe I'm the only one thinking this way, time will tell XD

i think is good idea and i have been thinking just like you before..and i think our big boss should consider your idea..

-top artwork of the week/month gallery or pick of the week/month (separated by category of artwork ,2d,3d,photogaphy and so on...)
-top artwork of the year gallery (by the most voted artwork in all category)

i think big boss should provide more option when viewing the artwork..such as "vote for best artwork". i see people very difficult to votes in battle section..hundred or maybe thousand of registered user log in every week...but as you can see every battles only has 40 or less voter..

i`m watching to biorust development from time to time...this is the best place i ever been..just want to see everybody is happy and enjoy...just like tamlin greet every new comer in the forum.."welcome to biorust, hope you enjoy your stay"
now..lets wait for the tiger roar to your idea..

I think it's a good idea too

There are a lot of people who post various things in the gallery- to get comments on ( me included ) and it would be nice to have some reward scheme , it might encourage more people to post their best work and pictures ( photo's etc ) now all you need is more people's comments and view's .

I have to admit that I love comments. One of the main reasons that I post here. And I usually only post my good stuff. You don't need to see my icky stuff. As for storage, isn't that what PhotoBucket is for?

maybe we could get those people to think more in that way, by calling a Biorust weekly prize....do you know where mog went to? I haven't seen him much lately.
