PM Spambot

Just to let everyone know: we've currently got a spambot infesting the Private Message system, going by the user name of Jeannette. I've banned that particular user account, but apparently the ban isn't stopping the messages - probably it will only come into effect once the bot logs off (and it's been logged in constantly for more than 24 hours). The messages aren't offensive or harmful in any way, but I just thought you ought to know. If you get a PM from Jeannette, just delete or ignore it.

In phpbb you can clear the sessions, which would make the user have to relogin. I would assume that VBulletin has something similar.

I think the problem has now been resolved, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Perhaps the best way to tackle this is to delete the users account and then ban their IP. I did this 5 mins ago - lets see if it solves the issue. If not, I can always restrict the number of PMs a user can send every day, which is not ideal but would reduce spam damage until I find a better solution.
