I will, and I believe that STM will too....so that makes a battle

Any more participants? This can also be an "off the record" battle....that way there is less hussle.

Biorust Wallpaper

So here's the idea, each person who would like to participate gets a square. That square needs to be designed at 72DPI and 320x256 pixels. Please be sure to sign your tile with your Biorust screen name, but other than that, you can do whatever you want with your tile. Showcase your best photo or graphic, design something brand new... whatever you think looks good.

The finished background will end up being 1280 x 1024 so it can be sized down to fit most screens...

Here is the layout for the piece, so feel free to volunteer for a square if you'd like!! I'll piece together the final and post it here as we go along: Biorust Wallpaper2

We just need someone to take slot #2 and were hoping for new blood, but since we didn't get any, the first post with a completed design gets it.

Ok don't post it here, I'll start a battle on the record so that way voting can remain anonymous.

oh... here's something to think about considering the size and dpi of this and any other art based on web use or screen resolution (ie non print items)

if you size your image using pixels as the form of measurement as in 320x256 pixels for this project... DPI doesn't matter... it could be 1600dpi and image would still remain same size unless it was printed.

just thought I toss that out there because I see requests for 72dpi many times when pixel dimensions are used for measurement and I myself really didn't realize this until about a year ago. DPI is really only relative when it relates to print media as long as pixel dimensions are correct.

Yes - this is often a source of confusion for people creating web graphics. For newcomers, have a look at this thread:

Looks like there are 6 participants but the battle doesn't show on the site anywhere but the link. Not sure if it dissapeared because of it being full or not.

Kind of funny considering we went 3 months of fighting to get any participation. :-)
