Wink HELP NEEDED: Photoshop Resources Installation & Basic Usage Wiki Entry

You know, if anyone else asks me how to install Photoshop resources, I think I may just explode!!! For this reason, I was wondering if there was anyone out there who could create for me a guide to installing (and accessing) the various resources we have available here on Biorust???

A WIKI page would be just fantastic - i'd link it in to the resources section and save myself more than a few scraps of sanity!

I'll have a look and see what's needed to write about . . .

loading

This looks like what i would need, when it get's done. I jsut got a ne PC and want to install all the actions and brushes that i have collected. But i dont want it to cause a slow load time for photoshop. Is there a way to load these into one folder so they will not take so long to open?

Yes. If you put them in any folder other than the default ones (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop xx\Presets\Actions for actions and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop xx\Presets\Brushes for brushes), they will not load automatically when you start up Photoshop. You will need to Load them whenever you want to use them, though.

But unless you have many many extra actions and brushes, it really doesn't make much difference if you place them in the default folders or not
