the blue dot for reputation

Hi ya's
I was just wondering if the blue dot next to the reputation recieved in our user controll pannel might be a "disapprove"..
Im not overly concerned by it or anything even if it was. just curious..
lol and then more curious if it is as to what or why the member might have left it for.. there is no comment that might say why or not ( each to his own oppinion and its not like the rep points hurt much or anything.) so Im fine with recieving a "dissaprove, no problem at all there, but you'd thnk they might have the knackers to discuss a difference of oppinion.
If you were to leave a "dissaprove" wouldnt it be logical to either post on the thread, or perhaps leave a comment or something.
lol, this person has never posted anything at all apparently

A good question - I recently got a "blue dot" and no comment from someone who has 0 posts (wonder if it's the same person?). Don't really know what it's supposed to mean, because as far as I could tell my rep count didn't go down...
I know on some other forums where they have rep counts you don't have to submit a comment for a +rep, but you can't "ding" someone unless you give a valid reason. It might also be useful to prevent anyone with 0 posts from giving reputation. Don't know if that could be implemented here? Where's Man1c M0g when you need him?

Don't worry - the blue/grey dot means that the reputation given/taken actually had no effect. This is usually because the user has insufficient posts for their opinion to count. If they remove reputation from you the little dot is a bright red.

...and as if by magic, the Shopkeeper appeared...

(that probably won't mean anything to anyone who wasn't a kid in the UK in the early 70s)

LOL! I totally miss Mr Benn. Quite how the shopkeeper remained happy with a bloke who came into his shop each day, tried on all the costumes, and then walked out without buying anything, is a mystery to me!
