This is VERY wierd!!!

I am running 2 OS on 2 computers. One running XP Pro and the other running UBUNTU (linux). When I go to the battles in the XP Pro I dont see any new battles, except the new meatalic bug one. But when I open battles on the system running ubuntu, I see the grunge one and others I dont see on the XP computer. Is this wierd or what? I wonder if this is why I was the only entrant in the battles logo. What's going on? Am I the only one having this happen?

I didn't realize there was a battle for the logo, only to post them within the forum thread (where I posted mine). Was there a post in there that said to put entries in the Battle Zone? I was under the impression that all contests were listed under Contests, and that Free-for-all and 1on1 were to see those specific battles only. My bad. Live and learn!

I think there's some kind of a glitch. internet explorer gives me different results than fire fox, ie: with battles open if IE, when I click on contests, it says there are no battles at this time, in firefox, it shows the current battles.
I also put my logos in the forum thread, but then I started a logo battle, in which I was the only entrant, I won by default. There were 0 votes. Something is very wrong!

I have both IE and firefox open right now on my desktop. Firefox, in the free for all shows; Metalic/Robodic Bug, Grunge, Space/Star Planet. IE only shows the metalic/ robot bug.

Without knowing more about the problem, I would say that you might have unknowningly collapsed one or more of the panels. If what you see looks anything like the picture below, just click the little arrows and things should get back to normal.

I'll have to admit that unless I'm missing something critical, this situation looks normal. You were the only person to actually submit anything for that battle, so it defaulted to you and now shows you as the winner. There is no magic that does the link between forum threads and the new battle system, thus the lack of any other entries

I find it hard to accurately explain the situation because of the high number of variables involved, but I do believe that the system behaved exactly as it was designed to.


Anyway, please report back on the missing battles issue. If you can't get them to show, I'll try to fix that problem.

The lack of other entries isn't because we expected magic, but at the very least a notification in the same forum thread where Mog stated in his first post, "Just post your logo to this thread and i'll pick the best one when its time."
People are Still posting their entries there.

Actually, the battle you are referring to was not created by M0g, so I assume that no "real" winner has been decided yet and that all entries will be considered in due time

Absolutely correct - the forum thread remains the official place to post your entries. I didn't start the battle for the logo in the battles system, so that one won't count. There's still everything to play for yet!
