Flash Tutorials

Members have indicated a Flash tutorial section would be a popular item. I have agreed to get the section started. Please give me an idea what type of information you would like covered.

Some of the areas I have proposed are:
Basic tools; Importing and Transitioning Images; Motion Tweening and Masking; Lip Synching; Logo Animation; Motion Guides and Looping Movies; Cartoon Drawing; Text Effects; Background Drawing; Interface Design (scrollbar creation, building menu bars, audio players); very basic Actionscripting; Headers; URL links.

Even if I have listed an area you would like to see, tell me specifically what in that area you would like to know. Don't just say 'cool text effects'. Tell me animated text, 3D text, or whatever. Same goes for the other areas. The more detailed you can be the better your tutorials will be.

We will want to start with some basic beginner instruction, such as drawing simple objects, importing images, how to use the tools, how to publish your movie, that kind of thing.

Come on and give me some good feedback, I would like to get the first 3 tuts to Mog by 2-20-06 or sooner.

I would love to know how to blur the edges on an object in flash. This could pan out into an even more awesome tutorial on making a gradient like blend from one image to another using a blurred mask. another thing I would like to learn is how to add basic interactivity (ie. hyperlinks, rollover effects etc.) this is all I can think of but Im sure there will be more.

Hey big guy, I am finishing up the first 3 tuts. Wanted you to know that one of them specifically touches on blur the edges of an object thru alpha settings and gradient. Also plan on covering a little bit more on that subject at greater depth further on down the line. Sure appreciate the feedback you gave me and rest assured I am listening. Thanks!!---bedlam123
