Hello fellow biorustians,

With v4 just around the corner here in a few months, we figured we would make the site more community focused. No, this does not mean that M0g will be thrown out, as he has been the driving force behind this, opening his site up for poor souls like myself.

Well, I am curious, we are planning a monthly newletter like update for our members, this way we can update people who do not come to the site often what new tutorials and resources have been added.

I am looking for people who have the time and patience, and are willing to help out, and I am also looking for ideas of what our visitors would like to see in our newsletters, so please, don't be shy!

The first newsletter is probably not going to be released until after v4, as there is still a lot of planning to do, along with the organizing of content.

A trick section would be nice,PHP and Photoshop have many useful tricks,this is what i would like to read in a newsletter.

Update : An "Art of the day" show random pictures/photos that got high rated might be add,its unnesarry and but sound cool

To help you along Order, i've set up a forums-driven subscription for the Newsletter that will allow people to subscribe/unsubscribe at will. To give us a good base for users, I propose that before we release the first newsletter I add all users to the newsletter membership group. This will also allow us to find users with dodgy e-mail addresses. I'll then add a section to the site telling new users how to subscribe, as well as a footnote in the 'registration success' e-mail you get after authentication (its quite easy, and runs via the admin CP).

That sounds great m0g, the idea is that by having a monthly newsletters, we can get returning people, who could become part of this wonderful community.

The first BioRUST Newsletter has been unleashed upon our unsuspecting members! MUHAhahahaH! *ahem*

OK, for the time being these will be QUARTERLY newsletters, but if they take off and are popular, i'll make them as regular as desired. A thread discussing the new autumn newsletter has been opened over here (Biorust Newsletter Autumn 2005 - Discussion Thread).
