corrupt files?
Hey, I was searching the wonderful internet and came across an awesome website that had PS brushes. The site said I had to register to get the brushes, which was no biggie considering everything it had. So after I registered I downloaded a couple brushes, opened them in WinRAR, and I get this error that says "! D:\DOWNLOADS\poundyou\gfxsiteicons.zip: Unexpected end of archive
". Well, now I'm bummed out cause I can't use these amazing brushes, but I was at work at the time and figured, "Hey, maybe it's just this useless work computer." So I go home and login and download them again, and it says the same thing So after reading a couple threads, it turns out the forums seem nice and helpful, so I figured I'd post about it without the fear of getting flamed.

Can you give us the link to the brushes you're downloading?

I'm getting no errors here at all llamapoo. Can I ask what your system config is like? (i.e. browser, OS, security software, firewalls, etc?). That way i'll be able to get a better view of the problem and possible solution...

I'm getting no problems either. You could leave your e-mail and I'll e-mail you the files if you'd like. I'll send you two e-mails, one with it as a zip and a second with just the individual files.

I've tried 3 computers so far and I get the same thing with all of them. I'm not behind any firewalls and I'm using Win XP. I've used both WinRAR and WinZIP and they both don't work.
The files I was wanting is:
Saturn brush
Blood brush
Scratch and Spikes brush
Suicide brush
Spacy Brush 2
Base 2 font
Baltic Sea grass 2 layer style
Terminator layer style
It might seem like a lot but those brushes are just so hot.
This zip problem is bugging the crap out of me :*( I'd love you in more ways than one if you could get em to me. My email is discostu@poundyou.com

hmm, I am wondering something, what isp are you using, also try this, I am wondering if there any packet loss..
Start-Run
type 'cmd' (no quotes)
A black box will open, just type:
ping biorust.com
wait for it to look like it is done, you will see results, post what you see here, to copy, select the text, right click and select copy.. think that is it, or post a screenshot if you feel that is easier.

I'm gonna agree with Order's suggestion here - it could be down to your ISP, or something on your end that is corrupting the files as they come down towards you. The entire site uses compression, but its utterly transparent, so if you can see the webpages, the downloads SHOULD work.
PS. Can I ask what browser you are using? And what security software is perhaps running on your network?

My ISP's are fine. Both say no packet loss. I did notice when I download, instead of it saying, downloading x kb out of x kb, it says unknown size instead of the actual number of kb :/ My work comp that I found and started this on is Windows XP with SP2 using IE6.0 and my home comp that I tried before I posted here is Windows XP Home with SP1, no firewalls or anything to that nature, and IE6.0 and Opera. I download hundreds of things per month with almost everything either zipped or rar'd and I've never had this problem. It puzzles the poop right out of me

Puzzles the hell out of me too! I'll play around with the server optimisation settings and see if I can disable all forms of compression for the downloads directories. I'll post back soon when i've done it...

I would downlaod it, but I'm at work and would be sufficiently mollywhopped by the corporate ape so I can't risk it.
