The VB3 forums have been mod_rewritten. if you have no idea what this means... well... just take a look at the URLs as you navigate about... There is no need to mod_rewrite the main site, though, because all spiders seem to be indexing it just fine already.
Update: Well, I've been persuaded to mod_rewrite the main site now too. Its all implemented, so take a peek and let me know what you think.

I woke up a little too late today to get cracking on the admin console, so I added thread boxes to the tutorials section (listing threads appropriate to the sections, of course), and I finally got around to coding the BASH serverside script for automatic remote backups of Biorust, its files, databases, and all related paraphenalia.
I'm still having difficulty isolating the issue that occasionally makes the random affiliates/tutorials/resource graphics fail to load, but I'm pretty sure its a mild mysql syntax error. I'll keep working on it, even though catching the error is a real pain due to its rare and intermittent nature...

I can't wait to see V4 in it's final form!
Also, is there a screenshot I can see of the Admin Panel once you get most of it done?.. I gotta see this beast!

No worries - i'll give a peek once its finished. Its nothing special though... just a ton of different forms governing site functions.

FIXED: The highly annoying issue where sometimes comments would show at the bottom of tutorials and other times they would not show at all. This was an intermittent problem and took some hellishly fiendish tracking down... but its all sorted now...

The membership bar on the main page has now been given a bit of an overhaul, and a nice little statistics section is now happily installed on the bottom of the sidebar on the main biorust pages.

Well, when I finish this list, the next work list goes up for v4 release. Getting closer I'd say!

The daily resources section has now been made more dynamic. I'm gonna add a frame-driven voting interface for sites soon that will encourage many more people to vote and stuff...

As promised, there is now a simpler way to browse and rate sites in the WebIndex system. Just click on a WebIndex link to see what I mean! Oh, and yes... you have more functions available to you if you are registered. I'm quite proud of my coding in this one actually - the system even accounts for deleted/dead sites and adjusts your browsing accordingly.
PS. I think its fairly bug-free... but please let me know if anything pops up...

All the groundwork for the next version of Biorust has now been laid. I finally have Photoshop open, and I'm busy designing a draft of the new Biorust v4 design. Thankyou for being so patient with me during this difficult time. Soon Biorust will arise anew! Hurrah!
