As promised, my final two Photoshop tutorials are now online! The first,
Metal Meshes is a tutorial that harks back to early days on Biorust, when the interface featured a great deal of industrial-style elements. I was often asked how I created the
chicken wire texture and, not one to disappoint, I've finally gotten around to a tutorial on the very same subject. The second tutorial,
Starburst Effects, details two very different methods to create simple bursts of colour, ideal for drawing the eye of your visitors, and used in advertising for centuries. As stated earlier this week, these will be the last two Photoshop tutorials personally written by me for a long time. I now intend persue the black art of Illustrator and vector graphics instead, so sit back and await the unveiling of the new section in the next few weeks...
In other news, the
Biorust T-shirt Design Competition (Biorust T-Shirt Design Competition) is now running, offering the winner fame, status, and, of course, $50 to spend on Biorust-themed clothing. Its free to everyone to enter, so get your entries in before the deadline on the 20th September!
