Yes, the rumours are true - I'm baaaaccckkkk!!! Fresh from the fires of coursework hell, I have returned with several tutorials and the promise of even more pearls of wisdom yet to come. SoOoooo, what's new? Well, from
ngz we have a funky
Perplexing Plasmids tutorial, detailing a very easy way to make a funky filter effect using only Photoshop. This is promptly followed up by two small
Signature Technique tutorials from the pen of
Barnett Darnell. And, finally, we have another elite-status tutorial written by the highly talented
Elentor covering
The Pattern Maker tool present in Photoshop v7 and later. The latter tutorial is especially impressive, and must have taken AGES to write... and its exclusive to Biorust too! Enjoy!
In other news, we are today's site of the day over at
CoolStop! Here is what they had to say about us:
It calls itself a "progressive self-development service" where artists can improve their skills through "unique tutorials, timely advice, stunning inspiration, and constructive criticism." There's about 50 Photoshop tutorials ranging from novice to advanced and a small collection of novice-level PHP/MySQL tutorials, plus a good-sized download centre offering free fonts, brushes, patterns, etc. What I really like is the community gallery, though, which features a lot of 2D artworks and photography, plus some cool wallpapers, among other things. All-in-all, this small community seems a pretty good graphic arts resource.
Awwww, its enough to make my heart go all glowy! :-). More tutorials will follow soon, including the last two I will personally write for a considerable time. Yes, thats right... I think its time to open up a section on another well-used application. Which one will it be? Well you'll just have to be patient and see for yourself!
