BioRUST Cookie Problems Solved! (FINALLY!)
As of May 4, 2004 BioRUST's forum cookies are performing what appears to be perfectly after close to a month of adjustment, fixes, repairment and even some crashes - we have finally gotten our forum back to a functional state.
I'm more than excited to see this as I was brinking the point of insanity due to the aggravating problem, leaving you viewing the same posts time after time.
Apparently a letter to the creator of albinator came back with a working solution, as for as I can see.
If anyone finds anymore problems, report them in the suggestions forum, or here.
Regards,
Yuneek

I sure hope that this is the final solution. So far all my fixes have shown promise but not solved the problem over the 24hr mark. Still, time will see I guess....

It's looking good, I checked a bunch of random things accross the vB that use cookies and all worked. None did before this fix, so its looking good.

Ok... its working perfectly for me now too. I've seen the odd error where the cookie marks itself as being updated in 2005... but this is very transitory and hasn't appeared in the last hour of intensive testing. Lets hope this is the last we hear of the vbulletin problems...

Albinator isn't letting me log in?
i did create the account on a different computer though. Iv tried loads of solutions but none have worked. It says ive logged into albinator when i really havn't, has this got to do with cookies?

That should be part of the cookies.
Depending on your browser, under tools, options or similar, you should be able to either delete just the biorust cookies or all of your cookies. Clearing those should fix it.
Also, the biorust cookies are found under f due to forums.biorust.com.

WHOOOPS! Many apologies 5-0 - that's all my fault! I used your albinator account as a bit of a testbed for cookie-issues (and that included giving you a cookie-expiry time of 1ms). Its all fixed now - you should be able to login again.

<Evdawg> wait, m0g, i just got a "go to the first unread post" button
<Evdawg> i think it's working for me
<Evdawg> probably cuz i cleared my cookies
<m0g^php> well, keep posting. im checking in 4 different browsers with 3 different usernames atm.
let's hope everything works out. and so we can keep albinator with no problems. Because in my opinion, with some time it'll grow into something useful/cool.

Nope, it messed up again. Ive had THREE WEEKS of trying to sort this sloppily-written script out and i've now run out of patience. Of course, the script writers insist its a problem with my server... which is pretty hilarious considering many other people have the same problems. So... as a consequence, i've now removed the entire script. I can only offer my sincerest apologies for the trouble its caused over the last few weeks... :/
I may try other scripts (such as photopost), but I wont be nearly so patient with them as I have been with albinator. This has been a very painful experience both financially and mentally... :/
PS. If your login date is stuck on 2005, just logout and log back in again to mend the problem. This will solve the problem permanently.

stupid albinator. well, you've got my condolences, m0g. And i'm glad that the forums are back to normal. Now only if 5-0 would use IRC and Digital would come back (I miss ya, dude!) we'd have our perfect little community again

Someone call me..
*looks around*, I have been around, just not too terribly active, as I happen to own a rather busy forum myself, I check in, glad to see the cookie problems were fixed.

What exactly is the point of a neopet community?
I'm just wondering...
