As for the security of the site, from what you have told me, it is pretty secure in my opinion and should be okay. I just don't understand why so many target you. Daily backups are a good idea, but I think you already knew that.

Typical of all ISPs, they inhibited my server and then went on as if *I* was the criminal. Still, a brief chat later and they seemed to be more forgiving, putting my server online with a disabled HTTPd until I fixed the security hole. I found the hacking kits used by the hacker when I did a full backup after the incident. Dunno quite why he/she was targeting me or the local network though. Some people have far too much time on their hands I guess...
Oh, and its MEGA secure now. All ports are firewalled out except those guarded by mega-tough security. Any hacker who gets through now has gotta be dedicated and rather experienced. Or they could use a brute-force attack and incite the wrath of my BFD attack-detector. Either way, its gonna keep the riff-raff out...
