Well, just keep your beady eye on http://www.slipgatecentral.com/netstatus/ . The moment the loads rise about 1, start to panic. Not happened for the last two days mind you...

Nah. It runs SHEDLOADS more. I just can't be bothered to enter in monitoring for the others, as HTTP and FTP are the only unstable things - the other services never ever crash unless the whole server goes down too.... and then u wouldnt be able to see the page...
PS. The info updates every 20 mins.

Well, I know those arent the only daemons running.. you most likely have named (a.k.a BIND) or dns, and some other system daemons.. etc..
I am used to seeing servers run at a little higher loads then this seems to be running at.

To my knowledge, the list of additional services running include BIND, mySQL, openSSL, plesk, and Qmail. And yup... the server does indeed run with very low loads. There's plenty of room for expansion in this server yet, trust me...

The server isn't too slow for me. The only thing I hate is the 30 second rule, only two posts max in 30 seconds. I usually have like 5 windows open (for BioRUST), and I post. Then I have to hit the back button, reply, get the stupid error again. Argh, I hate that. Other than that, it's pretty fine for me.
Sometimes the BG messes up for me, it's gets all squiggly. lol

I'll take a screenshot. I get it at least twice a week. I know how it's caused - I'm inpatient and I scroll while the BG is loading and it goes all wack.

Sadly, yes. BUT... only for a few more months. February/March I'm getting cable modem! I can't wait.
