4 New O'Rielly Photoshop Cookbooks!

Looking for a few concise Photoshop guides on your areas of expertease, cutting out the needless fluff that many other big books seem to feature? Well, O'Rielly have the answer with four new Photoshop photo 'cookbooks'. 176 pages and $29.95 each, they make Photoshop easier to understand for photographers, and look good on the table too! Here's some of the blurb from the press release:

Photoshop Retouching Cookbook for Digital Photographers covers such tried and true topics as how to adjust, correct, retouch and manipulate photos, add special effects, improve portraits and give photos a vintage look.

Photoshop Photo Effects Cookbook provides the lowdown on how to simulate classic camera and darkroom techniques, such as manipulating film grain, contrast masks and hand-tinting, as well as adding graphic arts effects, such as posterization, watercolor and woodcut.

Photoshop Filter Effects Encyclopedia Cookbook is devoted to the wild world of special effects, with a traditional photographic spin. Topics such as selective focus, simulated motion blur, working with artificial lighting and modifying day for night are typical of those covered.

Photoshop Blending Modes Cookbook is said to be the only recipe format book to cover blending modes specifically for digital photographers. It covers such techniques as correcting basic color shifts, repairing highlights, sharpening or softening focus and controlling contrast.
