There are many resources in here that people could make good $'s from... would you rather pay for the download or just say hey I think your stuff is kewl and I am glad you provide it on this site for me for free and then downlaod it for the cost of that 20 seconds of your time! Don't forget, websites like these take hardworking individuals and a nice amount of money to start and maintain. This is a great way to sift out the lazy thiefs and the casual downloaders from the wonderfull people that make this site work & cut down on the bandwidth usage and cost of keeping this site maintained as well! Great thinking Boss man!!!

Thanks for sharing your opinions, guys! It's nice to know that not all people find the BioCredits system a drag.

I agree, the credit system is completely fair. At first I thought it was a rip off but I enjoy posting at forums so...Umm...-feels embarrassed because of small vocabulary-...So I don't mind the credit thing...I actually wish I had something like that at my site, except mine's an RPG forum so it wouldn't be credits for the same reason...But now I'm just going on and on so I'll just end this post now...

First off, I want to say I'm sorry for criticizing already, after only just joining, but I have to say this. I don't get the whole point of a credit system. I mean aren't people supposed to comment on art or anything else if they like it? And as for me, I don't write tutorials or anything. And you make it seem like a must on this webstie. And don't call me lazy because I'm not, I just don't always have the time. I don't mean to get into an argument with anyone. I know this place is different from the other website I'm part of because it's not meant for people to just download things other people had been working hard to do, without contributing. But that's just my opinion, I hope I didn't get anyone mad. ^.^;;

forget_me_not; no one will argue with you. Your opinion and thoughts are equally important as any other. Time is a commodity many of us can't afford to squander, you are not lazy.
Members at Biorust are part of a community. Check the threads, quite often gallery submissions receive no comments; that in itself is a comment, and it also is kind and caring at the same time.
Biorust nurtures members at all levels of expertise, involved in numerous varied mediums. The credit system works well to encourage those less skillful and/or vocal to step forward and help others. Your single tidbit of info could be the one that makes all the difference in the world to someone else.
Give us a try, I think you will be pleased.---bedlam123

Such messages get deleted almost immediately by either me or our ever-vigilant moderators. Biocredit usage, however, remains counted - which means that if you use your spammed credits immediately you'll end up having minus credits and have to contribute doubly hard to earn your credits back. Of course, persistent spammers are just banned.

Here's a great way to make your users feel like a part of the community: FORCE THEM to participate or DENY THEM the resources they came here for...
Yeah. Great idea.

ot's more like you are going to post because you must, with that you will help others and get recources for yourself, next to that what's the problem?

Yeah. Great idea.

And the flip side? Have tons of people not contributing yet downloading the entire downloads directory at once. End result - little 'community', massive bandwidth usage, high hosting bills, and no Biorust at all!
