Microsoft have
released a beta of their new professional design tool, Acrylic! Offering fluid pixel-based painting and vector graphics tools, it is definately a step into a domain totally dominated by Adobe. Offered on a 180 day trial basis, it remains unclear whether Microsoft aim to make it a direct competitor to Adobe Photoshop, or an add-on to their OS offerings. Lets face it - MS Paint is well past it now... and this would make a fantastic free addition for Longhorn!
