Newbie Question

Alrighty...I've been tooling around with PS 7.0 for a while...but I still have a question. I have created 2 images seperately. They are saved under different names. I want to use one as a background and the other as like my main Image. How do I merge those two together. I tried merging them...but my Main Image was taken over by my background image and I want to bring my main Image in front of my Background image. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thats why theres this wonderful thing called layers. You just drag some layer above another layer in the layers window. Should be in your bottom right corner.

Copy the picture that you want to use as the main image, and then paste it onto the background picture. It makes a new layer and its all kinds of fun.

You can use the command "layer cia copy" by right click on the layer,it would helps alot though!
