Step 9: Well, that's it for the fire! Feel free to add a layer on top with a few transparent areas if you want a cool flaming text effect.
Answer: CTRL + Click on the layer (Layer Palette), then with your filled layer selected press delete.

I don't have Filter > Render > Fibers, is that a plug-in?

Question

hey, on the final step,

"Select the last frame and drag your layers up till one of the layers disappears from your canvas and the other shows up. Then select both frames in your animation palette and click the 'Tween' icon. Add 15 frames and click OK"

i got the first part, but what do u mean when it says drag your layers up till one of them disappears from the canvas and other shows up?

If you did everything correctyou should have two layers that are copies of eachother. One visible in the canvas and one outside the canvas (so you can't see it).

If you move everything up (make sure the two layers are linked) the visible layer should become unvisible(because it is dragged outside the canvas) and the unvisible should become visible because it is dragged onto the canvas.

I hope I informed you enough... Otherwise just add me to MSN.

I know it's available in Photoshop 7.

I believe he's talking about a ruler.

Go to View > Ruler (Ctrl + R)

You should see numbers at the top. Like a ruler. Click on the white "ruler" part and drag down to the bottom of your document. It'll probably help if you have the grid on (View > Show > Grid or Ctrl + ").

I hope that helps.

I use Photoshop 7 and I love it. CS doesn't have too many extra features. A few minor things. I don't feel there's a need to upgrade.

Question

I need help with Step 8 (the 2nd last step)

Whats this mean, i cant figure it out

and add a new frame at the end. Select the last frame and drag your layers up till one of the layers disappears from your canvas and the other shows up. Then select both frames in your animation palette and click the 'Tween' icon. Add 15 frames and click OK. We're almost finished... Now just remove the last frame and you have a seamless looping fire effect.

I can get the tween to work but it doesnt animate, i dont know how to make a new frame without duplicating the old one. Can u please help me
