Question Preset layers

I recently created a layer that acts as a watermark for all of my artwork. However, everytime i create a new piece, i have to go through the arduous task of opening the watermark file, and drag/drop onto the piece.
is there any way where whenever i create a new file, the watermark layer is already there?
Thanks for any assistance.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you can create document presets with more than a background layer. You can vary things like size, resolution, bit-depth etc. but there is no option to add extra layers.

If you want to speed up your workflow I think the only way to do it would be to create an Action or a Script to add the watermark for you.
Something like this, maybe:

It depends on your workflow. At their very simplest, Actions are recordings of commands and effects, so if there are a number of steps that you find yourself repeating time and again you could save them as an Action and then run them with one keystroke - this could include manipulating JPGs.

For more info on creating and using Actions, check the Photoshop Help files. You can also download lots of free Actions at sites like ActionCentral

You could also make a brush with your watermark .
This way , it would be always available and also easy to resize if needed .
