Pattern maker

I'm trying to create a nice pattern sample using the attached file, but when i'm generating it, it's coming all distorted and not in resemblance as per attached.

I would really like to create this pattern so i could apply it on a much larger scale.

here:
your mesh was a little rotated and skewed. also the bottom half was darker. I evened out the color and adjusted the shape a bit.

try this. its still a bit out of wack, but its much better.

i see what u did, and i realize that the pattern maker is a BITCH to use. So i used "define pattern" under edit and i manged to get what i want. All i gotta do now is scale it.
