Hardness Slider has vanished

Hey guys I am running Photoshop CS4 64 bit. and recently I have noticed that my hardness slider has disappeared. I've tried searching everywhere, and resetting things, the only thing that I have not done is uninstall and reinstall photoshop ( its a pain)
anyone else experience this?

I changed your image to an attachment, as the original is huge.

Can't say I've ever experienced this particular problem. I'm using CS4 and it's working OK for me. You say you've tried "resetting things" - does that include the Photoshop preferences file? That should be your first task if PS starts acting weird.

Hi su1man
Sorry I forgot to include a link about deleting the Preferences file. This is the page I usually link to in these cases, as I think this gives the best explanation:

Photoshop Tips: Trashing the Preferences File | CreativePro.com

Unfortunately, Photoshop does occasionally get screwed up for no apparent reason, but 9 times out of 10 this procedure will get things back to normal. Glad it worked for you.

If that doesn't solve it, and it tends to occur in only a few of your images, try attaching the .PSD to this thread and we'll see if its down to anything specific.
