Unhappy Trouble Saving

Hello: Everytime I save as in ps3 the picture I saved turns into a box with colored squares and can not be opened with out a chart poping up asking me to pick the correct program. THe pic was in jpeg and has to stay in jpeg as I e-mail the finished pic to a gallery. Can someone help. This is getting troubling, and I feel I am waisting my time having to re-open the original again and again. I have tried to find out on my own but alas I can not find what I did.

Are you sure you are saving to an jpeg file format? Because ps3 could be saving at as psb format(the format ps uses for its own files).

If that is not it, and screenshot would be handy (of the saving progress )

I would agree unleash, my old ps5 would only save a jpg if you selected "save a copy"
and then selected a jpg from the pull down menu. otherwise it would create a psd.
if libby2000 is using ps3 then that could be the case. if they are mistakenly referring to cs3 as ps3 then im at a loss.

I think she must mean PS CS3 - surely no one is still using PS3, are they? That came out in 1994!

In modern technology terms, 1994 is like the late Victorian period...

Check out this screenshot (the only one I could find online):

I still have a Photoshop 3 Bible (and Illustrator 5.0 Bible, and QuarkXpress 3.2 Bible) on my bookshelf between the Stephen King and Dr. Seuss.

I still have flying toasters!

Sounds like old version of After Dark on a Mac... right?

I had some older books and surprised to sell a few on ebay... I remember learning PS back in college... I started on 2.5 then. Oh... and profs had us working in 72dpi which made these really grainy prints on high quality gloss paper from inkjet... was great lol

Uneasysilence for Mac os x, but the site links just go round and round and not to the download. Looks like there are a lot of os x flying toasters out there (according to Google).

Yeah, After Dark was good - I had a copy myself - but does anyone remember Johnny Castaway? We used to watch that little guy for hours...

Sounds fair though. I mean, what year was that? How good could the computer have been you used? 300dpi is a massive memory hog even today.

Well true... the computers weren't as good but I couldn't see the point of us printing to glossy paper at 72dpi. Even 150dpi would have been more acceptable and better use of the high quality paper. Heck... we had 3D app on one machine... they could have handled the higher res.
