I almost did as in the link, Tam suggested, one advice is to experiment with the layers different blending mode and opacity, many effects can be achieved with little effort.

thank you taymarfoto & kenneth for extra help! I'm going to try your suggestions as well! seems i'm spending a lifetime on this photo and i welcome a "quick fix" suggestion. I may also see what i can do with a special effect.... Any suggestions that will look great but do not get too crazy?
