Stopped Adding Fonts!!

I have just used dafont which looks to be a great site to add a font. I opened the folder and copied and pasted the files into my font file but after the first font wont let me add anymore. I can open the zip file from the website but there is no paste function to paste them into my font folder.

Does ayone know what this is down to?

You cannot unzip directly to the font folder. You must extract to a temporary folder then drag into font folder (or use Tamlin's method). So yes, it does explain why it stopped working.

Is there a way to bypass having to go into my fonts folder once I have pasted them over and make each one readble?

I can get them from DaFont onto my system where I want them to be but every new font I put on is locked so I have to write down what I have put onto the laptop adn then go inand find it and unlock it in properties - tis rather annoying and very time consuming

if they are 'read only' you can select all the fonts in your font folder, and go to properties. There's a checkbox for read only. Uncheck it and hit 'Ok'.

Thanks Bub.

It isn't that they are read only, when I click properties for each font, they all have a box on the right bottom of the properties which says "unblock" and I have to select this for every font I install
