Pearl Blush

Can someone tell me how to create the blush on a pearl. I have a number of pearl brushes, but I can't get the highlight right. Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure what you mean. Can you post an example?

I can if I can figure out how, Tamlin. Can you tell me how to attach a file? Sorry to be so much trouble, but I've looked all over and can't find where it tells how to send an attachmet. Thanks.

From the Reply to Thread toolbar, click the Attachments button (it looks like a paperclip - see attached image). Browse to the image on your computer (or enter a hyperlink) and then click the Upload button.

Thanks, Tamlin. I've never done that before. Now, I know the pearl is very plain. I havebn't been able to find a tutorial for Photoshop Elements for making pearls, so I decided to try it myself. It has no pearly shine and I cannot get the highlight on top right. Any suggestions would be GREATELY appreciated!

Your attachment seems to be in negative when you open it (i.e. the "highlight" is black). Maybe something to do with it being a PNG.

Anyhow, have a look at these:
Photoshop Pearl Tutorials - RneL.Net

The key to getting that proper "pearly" look is getting the layer styles right. For my money, this tutorial explains it best:

Yeh! Thank you, thank you. I will let you know when I get a "real" pearl made.
