Talking Batching Styles

Hi, I'm new to BioRust, and can really use some help from some of you guru's. I have downloaded some of the styles for layers which are offered here. Some of them (like "stones") have only one in a set; is there a way to combine several of the styles into one batch? I can do this in "patterns", but haven't figured out a way to do this in layer styles. I use Photoshop Elements 4.0 for the Mac.

Thanks so much for your help. I think this will be a really fun and useful site.

Don't know if it's the same in Elements, but in CS3 (and previous versions) you can do this with the Preset Manager. Select Edit > Preset Manager... and then choose Styles from the dropdown menu. You'll see your currently-loaded Style set in the dialog box. Click the Load button to load more style sets. Shift+click or Cmd+click the individual styles you want to include in your new style set, then click Save Set... and give it a name.

PS: Welcome to BioRUST!

Preset Manager Won't Work

Thanks, Tamlin, but I don't think Preset Manager in Elements will work with layer styles.

In Elements, Preset Manager manages only four items -- swatches, gradients, patterns and brushes. I've used it with patterns and brushes, but styles is not listed.

Ah -OK. You've got a problem, then. Unfortunately I don't know of any other way of "combining" styles (or other presets).
