Talking short cut key not working..

Hii all..

Why is my shortcut key sometimes not working in photoshop?
Is it because my computer doesn't hv enough memory or scratch disk or something?

do i have to defrag my computer? cos i haven't done that for a long time

And i open my winamp all the time too...

hi mary!..i think ..after you set youre preferences shortcut key..or hotkey..you can always save those setting..i never met a problem like you..but i think that is the best way if your hotkey not work properly..so can always load again your setting..

Photoshop has dozens of keyboard shortcuts. What specifically isn't working?

Send a message via MSN to turvas
The only reason I have heard of with shortcuts not working so far is with illegal copies...

Oo..is it because of illegal..?
I use normal short cut keys like
Ctrl +z - undo, Ctrl+v - paste
M - Rectangular Maquee Tool
T - Text
In short, all shortcut keys not working in photoshop
Only working a few minutes and then off again...

Don't do that just yet. If you're ever encountering weird problems with Photoshop, the first thing to try is trashing your Preferences file. Read this for more info:

Unhappy

Ok, i've tried trashing my Preferences file and it has been quite ok for a few minutes...
But..there goes the same problem again....

Maybe its time to reinstall the software...

Sometimes there's a message saying something like this.."Windows Virtual Minimum Memory Too Low"...
Maybe my scratch disk is full...I dunno..just making an assumption

Running low on space for your scratch disk might cause problems when working with images, but I doubt it would affect the functioning of your shortcut keys. What is the spec of your machine? (Specifically: total physical disk space? How much free? Any partitioning or secondary physical drives? Physical memory size? Configured virtual memory size?)
