Can anyone help.....?

I have 2 teenage daughters, and I make alot of stuff for their myspaces. My 13 year old asked me to do something for her, and it's an awesome idea, I just can't get it right. She has a song picked out, sheet music, she wants me to to make the text red, and lay it on a black background....just the sheet music. My trouble is, I'm having a hard time extracting the text cleanly off the white backgound.....all I have it in is jpg. form. If anyone could help, please let me know. Thanx!

Is the background pure white and the music pure black? If so, it should be a pretty simple job. If not, it's probably still doable, but might need a bit of work. Can you post the original JPG?

Alrighty then......Charmed mum helped me with the music, (thank you, btw) there are actually 2 she can interchange, depending on her mood...I still need to retouch it a little, but here it is

The larger border you can only see if you have a wide screen, at least on myspace, I did that for myself
